Block C ( 8:30 am-12:00 pm)
All students participate in classes 1,2, and 3:
- Stretch and Move: A short period of movement and stretching will prepare minds and bodies for a day of learning and growing.
- Vocabulary: Use multisensory activities to learn and use new words. Morphographs are the smallest part of a word that has meaning. In this active, exciting class, students learn the definition and spelling of up to sixty of these useful little word parts. This knowledge is the key to unlocking the meaning of hundreds of words resulting in higher SAT test scores, increased reading comprehension, and a larger general vocabulary.
- Prescription Math: Each student receives diagnostic pretesting to determine their specific needs. A multisensory math program is custom designed to fill gaps and move forward on a firm foundation.
