She is the former linguistics specialist at Assets School, a school that specializes in teaching students with language processing disorders such as dyslexia and is a former English and world history teacher at Hawaii Baptist Academy. Mrs. Kosasa has extensive training in a multitude of Orton-Gillingham based reading methods such as Spalding, Lindamood-Bell, and Wilson Reading as well as classic OG. She makes learning fun and relevant. Her unique style captures her students' interest, while also making her teaching memorable. Because of her extensive experience teaching a multitude of students with a wide range of abilities and learning styles, she is skilled at putting herself into each student's brain to understand their specific makeup, and then to teach in a manner that is compatible with their individuality."
Testimony by Cathy Fukunaga

"I was looking for resources to identify ways to help my son improve his decoding, fluency and comprehension in reading. The workshop is extremely detailed in learning and teaching phonics, spelling rules and providing new ideas to teach struggling readers. Because of the skills I learned, I gained greater confidence to help my son and other children improve their decoding and spelling. The training is engaging and the information extremely valuable."
Testimony by Carole Hayashida

Now Hiring

https://www.kosasa.org/news/now-hiring

https://www.kosasa.org/news/now-hiring#comments

Uncategorized

See our employment tab for information on current openings.
